Flight note: A high Kp reading can indicate increased geomagnetic disturbance that may affect GNSS positioning and compass reliability. If Kp reaches 5 or higher, this site marks the fleet grounded under the company’s conservative Kp policy. Lower Kp does not guarantee reliable GNSS or compass operation; if a pilot sees interference or warnings, we do not fly. The status panel is advisory only, not a flight authorization. Published maximum wind resistance is not a safe flight threshold; the pilot must assess local conditions, gusts, alerts, aircraft warnings, and the site before every flight.

The panel compares live station wind and gusts against DJI limits: Mavic Mini 8 m/s (28.8 km/h), Mavic Pro 10 m/s (36 km/h), and Mavic Air 2 10.5 m/s (37.8 km/h). These manufacturer maxima are not safe operating thresholds; a “no threshold breach” result is not a “safe to fly” decision. The Kp 5 ground threshold is a conservative company rule, not a DJI or Transport Canada limit. Environment Canada observations are periodic; NOAA Kp values represent three-hour intervals. Missing/stale feeds mean status unknown. The pilot’s pre-flight assessment always overrides this advisory display.
